This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker,  New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.

 Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

VG++. Nice, heavy vinyl, with just light marks to her.
*NO SKIPS OR JUMPS*
I have just finished listening to all of her and found some light occasional background noise BUT also a superb rich deep bass reproduction.
FLAT, HEAVY AND ORIGINAL!
GREAT SOUND TOO

Labels: EX-. There is only a very small amount of central hole wear as seen in the pictures. Other than that the labels stand out nice and clean, with no writing or rips.
 Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
NO "Sold In UK..." statement...Showing it is the 5th pressing.
NO WRITING
"KT" tax code to side 2.


Inner: VG+. It is the ORIGINAL poly-lined "Use Emitex"
NO writing.
Has a little nibble out of one corner-please see the detailed images for yourselves.
With "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" printed text.
It is also the heavier and stronger paper version with the plastic inner lining.
Certainly done her job in keeping the record in great condition!

RARER 1st PRINTING EJ DAY COVER
( These were produced at roughly a ration of 1:10, compared to the usual Garrod & Lofthouse covers)
 There is minimal wear to this cover, with a few little spidering areas to the laminate and some fingers of spidering eminating from the seams..
STRONG INTACT SPINE-just a little flattened.

 A genuine 1st printing Ernest J Day cover with the Angus McBean in the lower right corner on the front.
The angular flipbacks are in great condition.
