VIC DICKENSON – VIC DICKENSON SEPTET – VANGUARD VRS8001 – EX/M- - 10” LP – MONO
Recorded December 29, 1953 in New York, this Vanguard session features Vic Dickenson on trombone, Ruby Braff on trumpet, Edmond Hall on clarinet, Sir Charles Thompson on piano, Steve Jordan on guitar, Walter Page on bass and Les Erskine on drums. SIDE AL RUSSIAN LULLABY: SIDE B: JEEPERS CREEPERS. This is a 10 inch LP and a MONO recording.
I’ve graded the vinyl as EX and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is almost clean of any marks on either side of the LP. By taking a very close look at it, I’ve found several very small marks on the vinyl, which do not interfere with play. There is no real sign of wear in or around the spindle hole on either side of the LP. The vinyl still retains its original luster. It comes close to a M- grade, but not quite, when examined closely. The record jacket is M-, as there is no sign of wear on it, with no taped or worn seams. There is no sign of discoloration on the liner notes.
