Early green label Warner Bros. pressing, whose matrix etchings suggest that it was pressed at the Santa Maria plant in 1969:
- Side 1: S I 39435 WS 1768 A -1B
- Side 2: S \ 39436 WS 1768 B -1B o
The vinyl is in incredible condition. I (very carefully) played it through once to confirm that it plays back as nicely as it looks like it might, and IT DOES! The surface has typical superficial wisps and inconsequential hairlines from having originally been issued in the non-smooth Warner Bros. paper sleeve. It's now stored in a MoFi audiophile-grade inner sleeve. ...but the playback is glorious! No obtrusive pops or clicks, just the minimal surface noise inherent in vinyl. I'll put it this way; if the record was sealed, and I was the one to open and play it for its first time, I wouldn't question its playback quality. I'd call the playback NM, but maybe it's safer to say "VG++" for the sake of leaving lots of room for the buyer to still be pleasantly surprised.
The cover is in similarly lovely condition. No seam splits or significant creases or damage. Just the faintest tracing of what could barely be called 'ring wear'. These non-laminated covers aren't very forgiving to 50 years of wear and tear, so to find one this clean gives an idea of how well-cared-for it is.
The labels are clean and free of spindle marks.
All in all, you'd be *very* hard-pressed to upgrade from here.
