Description
The Velvet Underground & Nico V6-5008
Original 1967 stereo copy. First pressing with journalist Eric Emerson hanging upside down on the back of the jacket.
This image was subsequently stickered and, ultimately, airbrushed off.
Vinyl is in the VG to VG+ region.
Very shiny and vibrant. Some light surface marks that are visible. Plays through extremely well.
Some surface noise, mostly in quieter passages, and an occasional tick or pop. One half-inch scratch you can feel but does not affect play more than just noted.
Absolutely no skips or serious sound-altering marks.
Labels are very SHINY and VIBRANT with some VERY light marks. Spindle hole shows only a handful of plays.
Jacket is holding up very well with the following notes:
Banana is UNPEELED but gone from the stem up and has a tear near the top (visible in photo).
VERY slight upturn towards the bottom.
White cover is dulled in many spots but generally pleasant.
'HAKALA' written in blue ink, upper left.
Small crease, bottom right.
Back is similar; some dulling and ringwear.
Emerson 'Torso' image still in very good vibrancy.
Spine intact - no splits. Loss of some text due to flaking.
Three inch split on top of jacket. One inch split on inside spine.
Original Verve inner sleeve; corners folded.
I've tried to be as detailed as possible for full transparency and buyer satisfaction.
Flaws noted, this is a VERY NICE copy of this VU rarity and a solid collection inclusion.
