Description
Venice conducted by George Solti with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. This is the long out-of-print and hard-to-find Classic Records reissue of RCA LSC-2313.
This is one of the few (4?) deluxe classical editions by Classic Records, such as the Royal Ballet Gala/Ansermet, Milhaud Creation of the World/Munch, and Iberia/Morel. It not only has the gatefold cover with the cutouts, but also includes the beautiful full-color pages about the music and the city (just as in the original RCA album) as seen in the photos. The above photos of the inside of the album were taken from an open copy of the record for demonstration purposes, but the record for sale in this listing is still factory sealed.
This is the 180g pressing preferred by most audiophiles, and it is numbered #1-0773. It is factory sealed.
