Description
This is an original stereo pressing of Verve's 'Gravity Grave' 10" vinyl EP on the Hut label (HUTEN 21). This is from my own collection which can be verified as only having been played a handful of times and as a consequence it is in excellent condition. The matrices on side 1 (which plays at 45rpm) are 'HUTEN-21-A' and on side 2 (which plays at 33rpm) 'HUTEN-21-B'.
It is housed in the original sleeve (see photo) which is in excellent condition, as is the plain white inner sleeve - see photos. There is very minor scuffing to front opening edge (see photo).
The audio quality on sides is graded as excellent with one play-through suggesting no noticeable deterioration in quality apart from occasional crackle - there are no jumps whatsoever. The vinyl retains its original vibrant sheen and plays extremely well despite visible light surface marks. It has been test-played on a Project Mark II turntable using an Ortofon stylus and this pressing provides a very powerful and punchy audio sound, especially on tracks such as 'She's A Superstar'.
There is no noticeable spindle wear but the orange labels have become slightly faded over time (see photos).
This classic 3-track EP features: 'Gravity Grave', 'Endless Life' and 'She's A Superstar' (the latter recorded live at Clapham Grand.
An excellent opportunity to acquire this highly desirable piece of Verve power. It will be posted in reinforced cardboard mailer.
