Condition - I’m not sure exactly how to grade this so I’ll just describe it,the first 20 seconds you can hear surface noise pops/tics/crackling after that when it gets louder the music and voice overpowers the surface noise,then for the last 20 seconds as it gets quiet again you hear the pops and tics again,that’s on the Sunflower side,the Johnny B Goode side plays better,however the Sunflower side is the desirable side..There’s a slight storage warp which DNAP .As far as the look of the vinyl I can’t feel any deep scratches and there’s light luster.It plays better than it looks.This 45 is very rare and doesn’t come up for auction too often.
Snow was the new name for Negative Space following the release of their Hard, Heavy, Mean & Evil LP (also on Castle). Fronted by Rob Russen and based in Trenton, their tenure as Snow was short-lived and they seldom played beyond New Jersey. Johnny B. Goode was in fact the A side, but is no more than a perfunctory version, however the B side is where it’s at. A bit overlong, Sunflower features softer interludes between bouts of intense rampant riffing. Although not quite meriting an Ultimate Bonehead accolade, Sunflower stands in its own right as a prime example of lo-fi early 70s heaviness.Comments - slight storage warp dnap ,you should clean first due to light dust and possible finger smudge ?
