Description

Vi Redd "Bird Call" on UA Jazz 14016 from 1962. The thick record is in glossy M- condition and both labels are clean as seen with no spindle marks. The thick stock textured cover is in nice condition as seen with no seam splits etc. There is a lite crease at the bottom/right. This is the 1st pressing with the 1A/1A matrix and the ear stamped into the dead wax (similar to the Blue Note ear). Nice!

  • Obscure female alto player backed by some great names including Russ Freeman, Carmell Jones (billed as "Kansas Lawrence"), Roy Ayers and LeRoy Vinnegar
