Victor Artists Party with Original Demonstration Sleeve

RCA Victor DL-5

Featuring Frank Crumit, The Revelers, Victor Arden and Phil Oh man, Nat Shilkret and the Victor Orchestra

This disc was given out with the purchase of one of RCA Victors new, top of the line phonographs in the early 1930's.  These Victrolas were ahead of their time and featured the new Electrical Transcription technology, the first practical Long Playing record system.  Edison had dabbled in the field, but with limited success.

The system was ahead of it's time, but ultimately failed due to the Depression and other various factors.
