This is a holy grail item for collectors of blues, hot dance, and black sacred 78s - Victor Records' 1930 catalog of race recordings. 44 pages, including the back cover. The catalog contains listings for releases in the 20000 and V-38000 series, including 34 artist photographs, some of which are seen in the scans. Artists pictured include Henry Allen Jr., Bethel Quartet, Ishman Bracey, Rev. E.D. Campbell, Cannon's Jug Stompers, Duke Ellington, Empire Jubilee Quartet, Four Wanderers, Rev. J.M. Gates, Charlie Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Furry Lewis, Ida May Mack, Rev. F. W. McGee, McKinney's Cotton Pickers, Lizzie Miles, The Missourians, Jelly Roll Morton, Bennie Moten's Kansas City Orchestra, Pace Jubilee Singers, Tiny Parham & his Musicians, Scott's Orchestra, Leroy Smith & his Orchestra, Victoria Spivey, Frank Stokes, Sweet Peas, Taskiana Four, Carroll C. Tate, Bessie Tucker, Virginia Four, Minnie Wallace, Thomas Waller, Douglas Williams, and Fess Williams & his Royal Flush Orchestra. Catalog is in very good condition. All pages are intact, with no writing on any page, however, the back page, which is depicted with the record label of Vi 20773 by Rev. F.W. MGee, is detached. The front cover has several creases and two dog-eared corners, with half of it detached. Ancient Scotch tape was used to repair pages 1 & 2 and also on page 43. These catalogs don't show up often.
