Description

Vogue Picture Record Album V-100,  Study in Blue, including records R -725 - Alice Blue Gown and Rhapsody in Blue, Part I, and R-726, Blue Skies, and Rhapsody in Blue Part II, performed by the Hour of Charm All Girl Orchestra, Phil Spitalny director. This album is the version with bound-in record sleeves, and both the album cover and the two records are in VG to VG+ condition, wear as noted. All the photos in this listing are of the specific items being offered for bid.

The album covers are intact and and sound, with some shelf wear to the lower edges, and darkening to the gilt title as seen in the photo. The gilt lettering on the spine shows some darkened areas which appear as glue residue under magnification.

The record sleeves inside the album are still firmly attached to the binding, but have been tape mended - the first sleeve along its lower edge, and the second one along its right edge.

The text and photo pages inside the two covers are complete, clean and undamaged.

Both records are in similar VG to VG+ condition, with some wear from playing, but not to the point of appearing dulled or cloudy in bright slanting light.

Disc R-725, Alice Blue Gown: a very light 1" scratch above the Vogue logo at the bottom; 3 small areas, 1/2" or less, where the plastic laminate at the bottom of the groove appears dulled, but the surface is not scratched or scuffed.  Rhapsody in Blue Part I: 3" line of tiny bubbles within the plastic laminate, which appear as white spots against the blue background. 1/4" scratch near edge, lower right side.

Disc R-726, Blue Skies: series of 16 small dulled rectangles, about 1/2" x 1"  around the rim of the main image area, like spokes of a wheel - possible production flaw? - see photo detail in bright sunlight, in which they show as reflective areas. Rhapsody in Blue Part II: 1-1/4" shallow crack in laminate, lower right edge, just extending into the groove - does not reach the surface on the other side; scuff marks and 1" scratch in area around photo of orchestra director; about a half dozen short gray lines radiating outward through the light blue rim either side of the title at the top - these are within the image and are not surface damage.

This album will be shipped at cost at an estimated packaged weight of 2 pounds, 8 ounces via Media Mail or Priority Mail (US destinations), or First Class Mail International or Priority Mail International, at the buyer's preference.

Please note that I am only accepting payments through Paypal at this time. Thank you.
