DEBUT ALBUM from this highly revered and much loved British rock stalwarts who arrived on the scene like a breath of fresh air. Pioneers of the twin lead guitar style (later co-opted by Thin Lizzy) and purveyors of a unique style that fused hard rock with folk, the Ash received plaudits and praise from virtually every corner of the rock world during the early seventies.
This album is stuffed full of long guitar fuelled tracks such as 'Blind Eye', 'Lady Whisky', 'Queen Of Torture', 'Errors Of My Way' and 'Phoenix', the latter an eleven minute Ash classic.
Produced by Derek Lawrence and engineered by Martin Birch, the men behind those early and great Deep Purple albums.
As you know Ash albums aren't that hard to find but getting your hands on nice clean 1st press red/pink label copies are a thing of the past. Every time I find this album it's usually a later MCA rainbow press of its a totally trashed original. Well, this one is in great shape. So time to upgrade - the sleeve is great also.

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. No spindle marks visible on labels and practically no other signs of use. There is a non sounding extremely light surface scuff on side two yet the surface is entirely clean and looks un Played - full punchy analogue sound. Grades as top MINT-!
Cover: Again, virtually no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated gatefold cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff and straight if a little flattened. The letter 'A' in the tiniest writing can be seen on the rear top left (see pic). Beautiful and impossible to find like this 51 years after release. Grades as MINT-!
