Description
Presented is "With The Beatles" on the Yellow & Black Parlophone label, Stereo PCS-3045. This is a very collectible issue of this Beatles album.
Here's Why:
1.This particular variation was only briefly issued in 1965.
2. It has the 1963 first pressing matrix numbers: YEX-110-2 and YEX 111-2.
3. The incorrect credit of "Wilson" after "Till There Was You" is printed on Side 1 label.
4. This label variation has the "Sold In U.K. Subject To Resale...." info on labels.
5. The circled "P" followed by "1963", the publishing year format, as first introduced in 1965.
6. The word "Grammophone" Co. Ltd" begins the rim print.
7. The black & yellow labels are the textured variety.
8. The stamped codes in the dead wax are:
Side 1--9 o'clock-2 3 o'clock- RP
Side 2--9 o'clock 1 3 o'clock-GP
9. The tax code near the spindle hole is KT.
10. The record is housed in the Garrod & Lofthouse laminated flip-back cover.
The first Parlophone STEREO issue of "With The Beatles" was issued in 1963. There was no Stereo issue of this title in 1964. Amazingly, there were enough Stereo issues from '63 to fill the '64 orders!
The 1965 Stereo issue offered here was offered for sale ever so briefly in 1965, making this particular pressing very, very collectible.
This record has been fully play graded: VG / VG+, with light surface sound mainly heard between tracks. This 1965 variant presents with clear, and enjoyable sound quality.
