This is a ground breaking production by Decca of Richard Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen on LP records by Sir George Soli conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra staring legendary operatic diva Kiasten Flagstad, and Dietrich Fischer-Diaskau.

The 4 boxed set; Das Rheingold, Die Walkere, Seigfried and Gotterdammerung, each is accompanied with a text in English and German and a complete synopsis of each of the 4 parts. There are 3 volume's; A biography of Richard Wagner (575 pages), The story of the making of the recording (275 pages) and George Bernard Shaw's witty The Perfect Wagnerite (114 pages).
