Description
Warhorse – Warhorse 1970 Vertigo small spiral 6360015
Warhorse were a storming 5-piece British rock outfit, formed by ex-Deep Purple bass player Nick Simper, who teamed up with powerful drummer Mac Poole to make a hypnotic rhythm unit, upon which the guitar heroics of Ged Peck, the keyboard virtuosity of Frank Wilson and the vocal gymnastics of Ashley Holt (very reminiscent of Purple's Ian Gillan) could build. This impressive and very hard to find debut is the result.
Laminated single sleeve (not gatefold) VG condition (edgewear, some spine damage, though name is readable).
Vinyl has been well used but plays through fine with the crackle only really noticeable in quieter passages and grades VG-.
Vertigo small spiral labels are in Excellent order.
Plain white inner with poly bag is in excellent condition.
Hard to find hard rock/prog classic - Argentina pressing, though sleeve seems to have been printed in Germany, judging by the flag!
Please let's be clear: if you're looking for mint audio, this copy isn't for you. But Warhorse LPs are hard enough to find at the best of times, so grab this very playable copy and upgrade if you get the chance. I'll listen to offers, but not silly ones.
