Warner Mack - Roc a chicka / since i lost you
Very rare Brunswick rockabilly 45rpm
Please read carefully :
Visually it is VG/VG+ no scuffs or major scratches, if anything there is an odd hairline mark, or little scuff here and there. But here is the issue… the record is unfortunately slightly warped, i’ve done my best to show this in the pictures, the warp is noticeable but is not one that will causes to needle to ride up and down, it is more of a wobble.
It is quite severe and lasts for half of the record approximately, on Roc a chicka you will need to put the needle on the very start of the playing audio, if you place it on the dead wax at the start it may not play, this is only what happens on my turntable and it may or may not be the same on another turntable.
Once you’ve got it playing unfortunately the warp does cause some sound defect throughout half the record on each turn as the warp passes through. This is the case for both sides of the record.
Please consider that if you are bidding for this record it may or may not be playable on your turntable. Luckily it plays on mine. The record does play through when i played it and it didn’t jump.
This is also may be repairable somehow. It’s not the worst warp but it is most certainly present visually and hearable.
However it is still a nice record to own due to it’s rarity and without the warp this would easily be a VG+ copy.
