Weddings Parties Anything ORIG OZ LP Roaring days EX ’88 WEA 2554301 Folk Rock

Original OZ LP released in 1988 on WEA Records. Cat: 255430-1. Comes in a gatefold sleeve. Comes with printed lyric inner bag which has some light marks and is in Excellent condition.
On the sophomore release from Weddings, Parties, Anything (W.P.A.), from the opening vocals of the brilliant "Industrial Town," to the bittersweet closing of "Morton (Song For Tex)," the listener is taken on a trip through Australia through the eyes of a young poet, Mike Thomas. However, although it is a pleasure trip musically, it is a dark lyrical journey. The folk influences continue, and Mark Wallace's almost sad-sounding accordion is featured prominently throughout the album with great effect (just listen to the opening bars of "Roaring Days.") But the overall effect is electric, almost punk, but never straying from the all-important melody.

  There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Gatefold sleeve has a small sticker stain on front top right corner and a few tiny surface tears around edges and is in Excellent condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
