Description

Tested and perfectly working Western Electric Vitaphone era phono cartridge with original tone arm.  This cartridge was developed by Bell Labs for playing Vitaphone records in the first talking pictures, but it is fitted on a shorter arm designed for 78rpm records.  The cartridge is hermetically sealed and oil damped.  It was the absolute state of the art in high fidelity pick-ups in its day, and even now it sounds great!  It is perfectly suited for pre-war 78s.  Put this up against your crystal cartridge and see what you think!  No needles are included, it uses standard victor style phono needles.  It comes with the original arm lifter and rest.
