Description
You are bidding on an original 2003 pressing of The White Stripes "Elephant" album on Third Man/V2 Records. This 2-LP / 14-track set is a limited US edition pressed on RED and WHITE vinyl.
This is the White Stripes' 4th album, and also their major label debut and a Grammy Awards Winner (Best Alternative Music Album). It was recorded at the legendary Toe Rag Studios in London with top-notch vintage equipment (including an eight-track tape machine and pre-1960s recording gear) without the aid of any computers, and this alone says a lot. The album has often been cited as the White Stripes' best work and one of the best albums of 2000s; Rolling Stone magazine ranked it 390th on its list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time" and later, the fifth-best of the decade.
There's light corner wear in the gatefold jacket and minor crease in the jacket opening, as seen in the pictures. Both records play flawlessly and have no scratches of any kind. I'm not a professional ebayer and I'm not a record store, so if you arrived here at the beginning of this auction, yes, I'm playing high stakes for such a collector's item by starting at such a low price. But I'm sure this record will get the bid it deserves... so good luck! Record ships from Sao Paulo, Brazil (see shipping or contact me for details).
