THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'

1963 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP

**A SUPERB EXAMPLE**

This superb 1963 1st STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3045
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label carries the misspelt 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' title and the incorrect 'Jobete Mus. NCB' credit for the song 'Money'.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible around the centre hole of the side 2 label.

Housed in a thick card stock front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with the lighter front image and a small stereo logo.
The rear tracklisting carries the misspelt 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' title.
Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.

Before you contact me saying that 'this is the incorrect cover for this record', I can say with 100% certainty that this disc was originally purchased in this cover.
It is said that EMI had excess stock of 1st pressing discs and simply matched them up with later covers in 1966, which was when this copy was purchased.

A spotless set with no discernable spindle marks around either centre hole.

Visual: NEAR MINT

This immaculate copy has been barely outside its cover and has been carefully stored since original purchase.
As a result both sides are pristine and totally unmarked in daylight with not a single scuff, mark or scratch anywhere to either side.
Close and careful inspection directly under my unforgiving powerful halogen desk lamp revealed just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines but nothing more.
Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.
Tough to find a better example.

Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS

The music on this barely played copy sounds as fresh and clean 'as new' from start to finish, with no traces of groovewear or background noise on any track or either channel.
Aside from a few insignificant faint ticks audible at volume between some tracks, there is little to fault here.
There are no clicks, pops, jumps or any other faults or traces of audible wear anywhere on this well looked-after copy.

Cover: EXCELLENT

The high-gloss laminate of this impressive example is completely unscratched and unrubbed and bears just two small 'thumbnail' creases towards the opening edge, but no other significant signs of wear.
All corners and are and square with no heavy bumps or damage. Both opening edges are also clean & sharp and aside from slight toning, they are totally undamaged.
The rear panel is clean and bright with just some handling marks towards the opening edge, but no further blemishes or any writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks are perfectly intact, clean and undamaged and both seams are strong, unstressed and unsplit.
The spine is clean and unsquashed with a perfectly worded text.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT MINUS

Clean & flat with just some natural age-toning but no splits, tears or other faults.
