Description
This is a rare 33 rpm LP record featuring violinist Wolfgang Marschner and pianist Horst Minkofski Garrigues playing 2 Sonatas for Violin & Piano - the Violin Sonata in A minor D. 385 (Op. 137 No. 2) and the Violin Sonata in G minor D. 408 (Op. 137 No. 3). The album is still sealed in its original shrink wrap - everything is in mint condition except for some small perforations to the shrink at the lower right corner at the front. The record was pressed in Germany on the German Telefunken Decca label “Teldec”, catalog number 66.21226 - I've seen it described as a "semi-private pressing". This is a rare 33 rpm LP record featuring violinist Wolfgang Marschner and pianist Horst Minkofski Garrigues playing 2 Sonatas for Violin & Piano - the Violin Sonata in A minor D. 385 (Op. 137 No. 2) and the Violin Sonata in G minor D. 408 (Op. 137 No. 3). The album is still sealed in its original shrink wrap - everything is in mint condition except for a small perforation to the shrink at the back and a bit of ringwear on the shrink, really nothing. The record was pressed in Germany on the German Telefunken Decca label “Teldec”, catalog number 66.21226 - I've seen it described as a "semi-private pressing". I believe that the record is a stereo pressing although it doesn’t state so on the cover - all versions that I’ve seen of this, however, have been stereo with the black and silver Teldec stereo label. Unfortunately, I cannot open it to check the label.
From what I’ve read, this is an exceedingly beautiful performance, very well recorded - a pleasure to listen to!
