Description
This is a unique UK package as you just do not get many Yes UK test pressings in citculation in the UK. Anyway the whole package consists of 3 white label UK atlantic label test pressing LP's of the 1973 live album YESSONGS, and 3 regular UK atlantic label pressings LP's of the same album in the complicated multipart fold out double gatefold album cover with booklet. all the test press LP's and the regular press LP's are the original 1973 UK first issues with same matrix numbers machine stamped into the run out grooves [K60045]. So you have all the music twice. There is a significant difference in the thickness of the vinyl as the test pressings are much much thicker than the regular pressings. i do not got have the patience to compare the mixes on the two to point out any differences but from a cursory sound quality comparison the test presses are much better. the white label test pressing LP's have the titles of the tracks hand written on the labels. all the regular pressed discs are in excellent condition. 2 sides of the test presses have some superficial surface marks from the very stiff inner sleeves they were stored in while the rest are excellent. the cover is fully intact but has some ringwear front and back and a some other agewear. the booklet is fine. this lot will never be offered for sale again as it is totally unique.
