Description
Up for auction here is an unplayed stock copy of the Zits amateur garagepunk Sick On You / Beat Your Face 7" from 1981. Amazingly great nerd-o punk. Just imagine the gawky outcast kids from your high school getting together to play some Slickee Boys-inspired rock. The best thing ever to come out of Oakton, VA. Probably the best thing that ever will come out of Oakton, for that matter. The "producer" of this fine piece of vinyl went on to form the Intentions (a Razz-influence rocknroll group), and produced recordings by a number of DC bands, including Black Market Baby. I don't think any of the other members found lasting fame in the punk world... Sleeve is VG+ with some rumpling at the top, vinyl is EX+. Note that every copy of this I've seen (I'm at the tail end of the 35-count box) has damage to the record's labels, and this one is no exception. The vinyl is beautiful and glossy. The labels just look like crap.
