INFO: file under CLASSICAL,Symphonic, AUDIOPHILE, TAS LIST. STOKOWSKI This is the RARE EARLY 196? GERMANY pendant to US pressing of a Beautiful Capital stereo, SP-8407. Leopold Stokowski conducts the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 2 Stravinsky ballets; "The Firebird", and "Petrushka". Harry Pearson of The Absolute Sound, thinks this is one of the best performances he has heard and so it is on his Best records list. I have to agree. It is from the best Capital era, and the record has some of the best dynamics you will ever hear on vinyl. The bas is deep and tight. The midrange is stunning in every respect. The strings are superb. You have to hear it to believe. Stokowski is at the top of his game on this recording, and the orchestra, is very together. The sound-stage has never been wider. All the instruments are focused and in the right place.

PACKING - All items are very well packed. (Check feedback for positive comments.) I am a record collector and use record mailers, and / or strong cardboard. Records always removed from jacket to avoid cover splits.
