interesting record with a story , i will tell you what i know but it could be worth further research , ive tried to a do a bit over the last two years but with little success . Ill start by describing the record though the pictures say it all . Im careful of not misleading people so viewing is recommended . . So a demo recording on allied, new york usa , black acetate ? Inside the sleeve it states , sun ltd , elvis demo scotty moore do not sell . The story , bought from a carboot sale in coventry two years ago , it was amongst a box of records i bought mostly rock and roll , the seller said they were from his grandads loft , i paid £20 for the box . When i got home and discovered it i played it and the recording starts halfway down the pressing and does not sound like elvis , whoever it is isnt even trying to sound like him , the arrangement is also very 1960s 1970s . I sent photos to the top elvis people in the world and they generally said they believe it to be an elvis and scotty moore song demo, produced for sun records in scottys studio to see if there was any interest in the co-written song , probably written together in 1954 but never used by elvis . They were happy with the authenticity of the disc with dates and scottys studio history . One of the experts was going to see if they could get scotty to tell them about it but apparently he does not like talking about elvis and the time with him . Only for sale due to having no real interest in it but neededing some holiday spending money , it will be offered for sale / offers on the elvis sites so i may withdraw it if i get a really good offer
