HARRY PARTCH - PLECTRA AND PERCUSSION DANCES
First private edition from 1953 in green vinyl!!
Beyond rare: only 356 unnumbered copies were released of this milestone SIXTY YEARS AGO!!!
The music is played by the famous GATE 5 ENSEMBLE, of course accompanied by Mr. Harry Partch himself!!!
A rare chance to get this baby in great condition: besides the general aoustic qualities of green vinylite,
the vinyl is in wonderful shape - a few light surface marks causing the occasional light pop, but nothing
serious. The record plays through perfectly and the slight noises never become more prominent than
the musical content. The sleeve also is a great condition for its age: All seams are intact with slight
rubbing at top and bottom but with no splits. Slightly bent corners and a small tear on back top left.
Please have a look at the pictures and let me assure you that will have problems to find a better copy of
this very rare record! I give it a strong vg+/vg+ - definitely a great addition for every serious collection of
early Avantgarde (Mr. Partch inspired among many others The Residents and Nurse with Wound!!)
