Description

Mushroom "Early One Morning" Boot Records bos7156, Canada, 1975. Lp and jacket both EX (mint, still in shrink!) *** Very rare and sought-after 11-track lp of Irish psych-folk-prog-rock -- perhaps the the best example of a successful hybrid of trad. Irish music with heavy rock?! This is on a real label called Boot, it's NOT a bootleg. This was licensed for Canada from Irish label Hawk (I think Hawk was the band's own label) two years after the record came out in Ireland. The Hawk pressing fetches $450+ and certainly this North american version is rare, too. Little Wing reissued this lp on cd/lp a few years ago but that's just not as good as the real thing. Quite great liquid/fuzz guitar and rock-solid drumming are integrated with tin whistle, chimes, recorder, electric mandolin and something listed as "Frenzy Frustration"??? Anyway, terribly obscure and a must for psych collectors!
