NM (near mint) condition 1979 vinyl reissue of the original soundtrack to the 1970 H.P. Lovecraft adaptation The Dunwich Horror. The OST was first issued to coincide with the movie's release and featured a cover picture of the film's star, Dean Stockwell. This reissue on Varese Sarabande (label # VC 81103) boasts a far superior (and scarier) cover illustration (see accompanying photos). Les Baxter's musical score includes such titles as Sacrifice of the Virgin; Devil Cult; Sensual Hallucinations; Cult Party; Necronomicon; Devil's Witchcraft (try finding those tunes on your local bar's jukebox). The album still has its original shrinkwrap. Condition of both the vinyl and the album cover is NM (near mint). The Varese Sarabande inner paper sleeve has age-related browning. Nice collectible item for H.P. Lovecraft fans and/or admirers of Dean Stockwell (Sons and Lovers; Long Day's Journey Into Night; Blue Velvet; Married to the Mob) who just recently passed away.
