Description

Sparton Records  T 5044  M-/M-   MONO   Very RARE original Canadian album. Classic garage/psych does NOT get much better than this gem, the 2nd magnificent album from The Standells, Why Pick On Me. This is a beautiful original, impossible to find in this condition, Canadian pressing on the Sparton record label. Again produced by Ed Cobb, this Los Angeles based band had a huge hit with their debut album and hit song Dirty Water. This the 2nd album, was more polished, and may be their best!!  Includes the hit Why Pick On Me, Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White, Paint It Black and many more. Being white, the cover has stood the test of time and is very clean, tight corners, except lower right corner has a 1/4 inch peel. Very little if any yellowing to speak of, maye a slight bit on lower corners. The vinyl is amazing!!!  SUPER clean, shiny, NEAR MINT. The bright yellow Sparton labelshave NO spindle marks on side 1, a little spindle mark on side 2, tiny bit of gum residue on side 1 label. An ABSOLUTE BEAUTY!!!  A garage/psych collectors dream, may not see this one too often in this condition!!!
