The Beatles
White Album
Stereo
No. 0528059
!!!AN ALL ORIGINAL 1968 FIRST PRESS STEREO!!!
Have a listen:
This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!
Catalogue Number: PCS 7607/8
End Matricies: 1/1/1/2
The Vinyl:
150g
143g
G+. GORGEOUSLY shiny vinyl. The discs have many visible marks to them, BUT after playing her through, I found background noise/pops & crackles throughout, BUT does not skip or stick.
Unfortunately, even though disc 2 plays all the way through without a problem-it does have a warp...I have recorded ...Me and My Monkey from this disc and it still sounds great)
Would benefit from a professional clean.
Wonderful deep & rich sound reproduction
They are far from Mint but equally far from Trashed!!
(They knew how to make proper vinyl-to withstand wild parties-back then)
The labels: VG++. All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.
"KT" tax code to side 1
Only light spindle marks and light hole wear to each label.
PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES
"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.
"An EMI Recording" printed to each side BUT without the brackets
Mothers & Stampers:
4 HR
2 T
3 GGRO
2 GMP
The Cover: VG-. NUMBERED: 0528059 It is the first run TOP loading STEREO with a great shine to her.
Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold.
The spine remains strong, with it being a little squashed and a superficial split-not all the way through...really nothing at all to worry about.
Has the printing of Stereo to the back top right.
There are some small areas of spidering to the laminate, and a few light indentations.
Rubbing to the corners.
(Please see the detailed pictures for yourself-it really is rather nice).
AGAIN, I AM BEING INCREDIBLY CRITICAL!!!
PLEASE SEE MY FEEDBACK FOR FAIR GRADINGS
Very good Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold with equally strong flipbacks.
Lovely and clean inside.
NO WRITING ANYWHERE
ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING!!!
Inners: VG+. White die-cut inners.
Pictures: Sorry, not present
Poster: Sorry, not present
ALL IN ALL THIS IS AN ALL ORIGINAL PIECE OF BEATLES HISTORY. HOUSED IN A GOOD COVER.
WOULD DEFINATELY MAKE A GOOD FILLER.
