PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!                The NIGHT RIDERS

                   " Introducing "

                     USA -Justice Records - 157

MEGA RARE 1967 in demand original ...

The rockin' teen-scener sounds of the NIGHT RIDERS one of the top tier of Justice records garage rarities ... while the TEMPOS, STOAWAYS, BONNE VILLES, ENGLISHMEN & MARSADEES were of the leading bands on the highly collected label, the NIGHT RIDERS were right in the mix delivering the typical charming lo-fi primitive & crude r&B/rocker mixes that rate highly with collectors of the scene! Finding decent playable copies of such local small pressings as this one as few & far between. See condition details below ...

Fans in Italy, including the USA, Europe and Japan are trying to find original pressings of these albums, are eagerly forking over from $300 for Justice “33s” in poor condition to $800.00 for minty albums.

The Justice Recording Company Label was formed in the mid 60?s in Winston Salem, NC by Calvin Newton. Justice Records never had a hit. Indeed the tiny Winston-Salem, North Carolina, company generally issued no more than a few hundred copies of any of their releases, all cut in the mid-to-late ’60s.

The NIGHT RIDERS ~ "INTRODUCING" 1967 (Justice 157) ...North Carolina ...

One of the great Justice label teen-bands, the NIGHT RIDERS delivered a straightforward mix of organ/guitar including the usual psoul element was reduced to a nervous take on "Come see about me", while the band showed class in covering energetic renditions of "Double Shot" and "Louie Louie". Overall a very agreeable basement garage teen-scene statement, the set for what it is will undoubtedly satisfy garage-rock collectors of the era. Very basic soundscape from these 16-year olds who probably were pleased that they managed to play all songs through without mistakes on their newly purchased gear. Drummer sounds like he's only handled the sticks for a few weeks which messes up a few tracks, but they get all the elements right for a closing "Journey to the stars", the album's obvious high-point which has also been comp'd on the great "Relics" garage rarities Lp .

Overall one of the better garage rock recordings of its period, the dozen songs here, cut for Justice Records after the band had placed in the second runner-up spot in a local Battle of the Bands, are full of surprises. For starters, the presence of two rhythm guitarists gives the group a rich, thick-textured sound. The other big surprise is the balance struck between the organist and lead guitarist: Monte Allison and David Marlette make a perfect team of soloists. Allison's organ shifts effortlessly from background to foreground, and Marlette's guitar solos show an engaging, inventive sense of melody. The presence of a handful of very pleasing original numbers only enhances the value of this highly rare LP.

CONDITION: The cover: rated: VG++, near impossible to find in better shape ... the cover is solid = the back cover is pretty clean, has some wear clear down at bottom left, but overall minor ... there are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing  ... VERY collection worthy rarity from the '67 garage teen scene

The vinyl: Rated: VG(-) generally quite played and while there are NO skips and jumps there is light crackle, sometimes not, and overall still enjoyable. The first track "Midnight Hour" has a pronounced scuff that produces some interference but overall tracks fine throughout. Both local JUSTICE labels are free from writing or prominent wear.

A cool addition to anyone's music library!
