This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!

The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.

By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

WONDERFULLY EARLY MOTHERS/STAMPERS

The Vinyl:

VG visually VG+ audio.

The vinyl remains shiny. She does carry many light marks to her, however after playing her through, I found a wonderfully strong audio output. The vinyl has only some very occasional and gentle background noise in the quieter sections: Blackbird and Julia-but this faded away at the start of the tracks.

I noticed a tiny micro skip, right at the start of Dear Prudence, but I am sure a slightly heavier stylus than mine will play over this-I didn’t find it offensive at all.

Disc 2 displays even better audio output-with very little background noise-when I popped this disc on to play through, I was blown away with the power, clarity and gorgeous bass banging through on Birthday...Fantastic! The quality deep and rich audio continues throughout.

All I found was just some light and very infrequent bit of soft crackle to the audio...Nothing to detract from its richness.

Wonderful deep & rich sound reproduction.

Even the quieter side 4 played well with just faint and soft background crackle, which wasn’t bad at all...The most noticeable bit of background noise was on Revolution 9.

A simple joy to listen to.

Just light spindle marks to each label, with minimal hole wear evident!

It is the first run TOP loading with a great shine to her.

Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold without writing!!

The spine remains lovely and strong but does have a small 3cm split to the top of the outer casing-this has not affected the inner gatefold spine.

There is just some light storage wear to this sleeve-as you can see in the detailed images provided. The corners have some rubbing and knocking...but we all have rubbing and knocking after more than 56 years on the shelf!

Lovely clean and clear images to the inside.

ALL ORIGINAL and remains in a very strong, solid condition.

They each have feathering to the opening and some splits to them.

It is the ORIGINAL 1st printing of this poster. Lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front and uncensored.

ALL IN ONE PIECE.

There is one split along one of the folds but this has not separated the piece in two. As well as some light foxing to the paper.
