By all appearances, 2 of these are DR. JOHN live recordings from the 1970's. The third reel may be a Dr. John session recording, possibly from the 68-71 "Night Tripper" era, or a live recording from the late 60's Gris-Gris tour.
Reel #1: DR. JOHN WLIR* CONCERT 11/6/73 (Parts 1&2) * The "In the Right Place" Tour. This is a well known bootleg, officially released as:
"The Lost Broadcast: Ultrasonic Studios, New York 1973"
* (WLIR, NYC was an influential progressive rock FM station from the 70's -90's)Reel #2: Dr. JOHN ANN ARBOR GIG (date unknown, no other notes on box)
Reel #3 : Dr. John and the Night Trippers (source / date unknown) Appears to be a concert recording. Could be a Session Recording. Box Notes are: Dr. John and the Night Trippers. Theme Song. Clay -Guitar, Jenny-Sax, Ronnie -Piano, Didimus* -TImbale Jimi-Bass, Faed -Drum. Gris Gris -intro fls. Drum Solo bk*Intro 1:30, Craney Crow -mothurue 1:50, Gilded Splinters -Don Hill, Zuzu - Suko Mamu Babylon Peenapropanola. *"Didimus" = Richard "Didymus" Washington, who was a percussionist w/Dr. John during his 1969 "Gris-Gris" Tour.
