“Amos And Andy” Radio Show Transcription Disc produced by The Armed Forces Radio Service

One Complete 30 Minute Radio Program On This 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm Disc

This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and Not Available To The General Public, Very Rare!

"Amos And Andy" radio program #88.  In this episode, the Kingfish opens Andy's mail and finds out his uncle has died and left him $6,000.  The Kingfish is the beneficiary of Andy's Will, so he convinces Andy there is a gold rush in Chicago so he will leave town, and The Kingfish tells the attorney that Andy is dead, so he can collect the money.  A very funny episode

Program stars Freeman Gosden & Charles Correll.  Songs by Jeff Alexander's orchestra with vocals by The Jubalaires include "Running Wild", "Dry Bones", "Shadrack"

There is no date on the disc, possibly circa late 1940's

Disc is in Very Good to Excellent condition with Excellent- sound

This disc came from a collection that has sat untouched for decades
