Description
This copy was recently given to me by ARC lead guitarist Mike Whitbread to place on ebay. He also gave me another cover. I have posted that separately, but he did not have another copy of the record to go with it. Only 1,000 were pressed in 1981 and this would appear to be the last one that Mike has to offer. So, probably last chance.
The single is mint and unplayed. The sleeve is a rare promotional version that is a book cover and is in mint/mint minus condition. It has spent 30 years amongst a pile of correspondence. A few of these sleeves were produced in 1981 so that the single, photos, and other promotional material could be placed inside and mailed to agents and to radio stations.
I have included a copy of the War of the Ring lyrics. Also included is an A4 copy of a very rare photograph of the ARC line up that recorded War of the Ring - Steve Potter, Phil Lynch, John, Geoff, and Mike Whitbread - taken on the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire, near here. The original photograph is owned by Mike Whitbread and it is the only copy known to exist.
