Description
The record is a double header.....The A side by matrix is Augustus Pablo with Silent Satta followed by a DJ cut by Jah Butty titled Traditional Satta....Utilising The Satta rhythm. The B side by matrix is Jacob Miller with Too Much Commercialization Of Rastafari followed by a DJ cut by Jah Butty entitled Commercial Rasta....utilising the 555 Crown Street rhythm. The matrix number is PR 157 A and B. This is the original green label pressing from 1978 NOT the later re-press. Both the original red label version and green label version use the same matrix number and stamper..But, the red label states that the tracks are produced by Everton Da- Silva whilst this green label version says that they are produced by A.Pablo.......confusingly the sleeve says that they both produced it. The vinyl is visually graded as very good with just a faint ring mark on the A side. The sleeve is in very good condition with just a little damage at the back ( see picture ) The B side does have a few crackle at the start and there is a visible mark which causes one or two ticks.......I would still grade the sound as very good......it is a Jamaican pressing so has the usual issues associated. This is one of the moodiest and really quite odd ( in a good way ) Reggae tracks you will hear.
