The Beatles - 'White Album' No '0006799'. PMC 7067/7068
The Beatles 1968 MONO UK 1st pressing of the 'White Album' LP. Released on the 22nd November 1968, this was the first release by The Beatles which contains purely solo material. This is a wonderful and fully complete example of one of The Beatles finest and rarest LP's. With a very low numbered top opening mono sleeve and early pressed vinyls (ALL 'G' STAMPERS). The low number cover deserves special attention due to its wonderful condition. Many of these are in relatively worn condition. This is an exception, grading at EXCELLENT-.
The White album is probably the most essential Beatles album to have in both mono and stereo as almost every track has some difference. Released on the dark UK Apple label, all four sides of the vinyl feature the 'Sold in The UK ....' statement. But do NOT contain the 'An EMI Recording' text indicating an early pressing.
This comes complete with the original top opening sleeve which has embossed 'THE BEATLES' and the unique very low number of '0006799'. The sleeve is the correct UK 1968 1st MONO edition and does NOT state 'Stereo' on the back cover. The vinyl are housed within the correct original black die cut inner sleeves. The original 'lipstick kiss' poster is included and all four colour photographs in EXCELLENT- condition.
The vinyl has the earliest possible matrix numbers for this LP and some early mother/stamper numbers with all sides BEGINNING WITH 'G'.
Side 1: XEX 709-1 GRP 7. Side 2: XEX 710-1 GDG 3. Side 3: XEX 711-1 GP 1. Side 4: XEX 712-1 GM 1
The vinyl visually is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
All four sides of the vinyl have been play tested with NO faults. Light crackle between some tracks. A wonderful sounding copy. NO problems at all.
All labels are in EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition. Water stain to the bottom right corner otherwise this would grade higher.
The inner sleeves are in VERY GOOD+ condition. One has seam split to two edges otherwise great condition.
The poster is in EXCELLENT- condition.
The four pictures are in EXCELLENT- condition.
This LP will be very carefully packaged. The vinyl will be removed from the original back inner sleeves during transit and housed in additional inner sleeves. UK recorded postage is: £4.00. EU recorded postage is: £10.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £16.95. Combined postage is available.
