“Helter Skelter” Capitol Promo 45 Capitol P-4274 - 1976" Helter Skelter " was written by Paul as a deliberate effort to create a sound as loud and dirty as possible. It was included in the Beatles 1968 double LP, The Beatles , aka The White Album . The song has been noted for both its "proto-metal roar" and "unique textures." It was ranked #52 on Rolling Stone Magazine's "The Beatles 100 Greatest Songs" list.
“ Helter Skelter ” was released in 1976 as the B-side of a single with “ Got To Get You Into My Life ”. The single peaked at Number 7 on Billboard’s Hot 100. This auction is for the “Not For Sale” promotional 45 “Helter Skelter.” The record as the Mono version on one side and the Stereo version on the other. The record is in Near Mint condition.This original promo issue uses the stereo mix from the White Album and a fold down for the mono mix....it is credited on the label as "Beatles" and taken (from the LP "The Beatles" SWBO-101) mono side master #PRO-8380 F-2....Stereo side S-X 46494 F-2
