Description
Beatles Let It Be Box Set UK PXS 1 from 1970 complete in overall very good to excellent condition.
Original 1st issue with record matrix 2U/2U and Red Apple Logo on the rear sleeve.
The outer box which is visually the most important part remains strong and stiff. It has a few minor
nicks and dents,general age related blemishes one gets with most sets, but remains in nice condition overall.No
major problems at all and certainly one of the better boxes one sees. Grades around VG+toEX-.(Record Collector standard gradings)
The LP with original white Apple Text inner bag-one small nick on the edge of the nice condition laminated cover
which is otherwise excellent-the disc looks near perfect in ordinary light with one small hairline just about visible-
there are some more minor marks in artificial light but this is an excellent disc for sure and has the 1st issue matrix.
The Get Back book is really nice and grades EX.No loose pages etc.and definitley towards the best you could get.
The inner box has a lot of small creases on the 2 flaps and surrounds but to counter that the main
back part is really good still.Overall grades VG.
The book tray is generally excellent bar weakening at the 4 weakest points-the corners where the book fits in.
Actually really clean but I have had to try and strengthen it at those 4 weak points to stop it going there
Anyway overall a really nice original 1st UK issue set complete and apart from the
inner box flaps which are well aged and those weak points on the tray,everything is towards the top end of condition.
No writing etc.anywhere- and these publicity posters from Apple that have suddenly appeared everywhere are virtually
all copies and were only ever found in a few early issues-you can buy these copies quite easily
should you want one but they are not part of an original issue as such!
This set is complete and for sure towards the top end conditionwise.You will be very lucky to find an original
issue where the inner box and tray are not suffering a little and this one is better than most for sure.
