The Beatles
Let It Be----Box Set
PXS 1
ALL ORIGINAL & COMPLETE TOO
Professionally CLEANED WITH Pro-Ject VCS MkII Vacuum Record Cleaner
Well folks here's a COMPLETE Let It Be Box
This was the Beatles' 13th and final official album release. Released on the 8th of May 1970, it reached the number 1 slot just over two weeks later and stayed there for 3 weeks. It was also, sadly, to prompt the Beatles' last live performance: on top of the Apple Building in London on the 30th of January 1969.
An interesting little bit about this album is the cover was originally intended to be the cover which was used for the Beatles' compilation in 1973 for their 'Red' and 'Blue' album.
Even though recording for the album was finished by the end of May '69, it wasn't until March 1970, when Phil Spector was brought in, when it finally got released.

The vinyl has many light marks to her. On playback I noticed a light, audible revolutionary tic on side 1, at the start of track 4. Other than that, there was evidence of background noise in the quieter sections, but when the music really got going-no problem at all....Just quality audio.
Certainly no jumps or sticks.
FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN & STILL RETAINS THE GLORIOUS SHEEN
Labels:
EX.
Original DARK GREEN 1st pressing labels. Lovely and clean. Barely any hole wear to mention...just some light spindle marks, visible when angled to the light-really absolutley nothing to worry about at all.
Record Sleeve: VG
RED APPLE
Glorious glossy sheen to both the front and back.
The corners are just gently rubbed.
The spine is superbly clear and flat, with just some light rubbing.
The Apple to the back is RED-showing it to be the very first pressing...If you need more convincing than the end matricies as well as the Mothers and Stampers! Not often at all you get to see these up for sale!
There are some lines of spidering to the laminate as well as a 4cm bit of rubbing to the bottom seem, where it has just made it through, but not completely.
WOULD FRAME WELL
Record Inner:
EX-.
Die-cut plain white inner. No writing...
PATENTS APPLIED FOR

MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN
Gorgeous EARLY Example.
THE BOX SET IS ALL ORIGINAL PIECES AND NOT LATER REPRODUCTIONS!
Outer Cover: VG(-). When taking the inner tray out of the outer cover, the cover still keeps it's shape-this is how I have photographed her. Now that's a good solid example! (most I have seen collapse when the inner tray support has been taken away).
To the front the pictures are lovely and clear-gorgeous sheen to the fully laminated outer cover. However, as you can see in the detailed images provided, there is extensive spidering to the laminate to the top and bottom of the outer cover, with some knocking and rubbing to the corners, as well as small 1cm splits to a couple.
This is far from mint condition, but equally far from trashed.
There is a repaired 2cm tear to the left opening, but not too bad.
NO WRITING
The back of the outer cover has the credit of..
"Designed By John Kosh Photographs by Ethan A Russell Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Limited (Patents Pending)" to the bottom
***REMAINS A VERY COLLECTABLE COPY***
(AGAIN: PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES-AND SEE MY FEEDBACK FOR POSITIVE REVIEWS AND HAPPY CUSTOMERS)
Inner Tray: G. It is all ORIGINAL! There is a fair amount of wear to the flip-over inner.
The card where the book is housed comes in 3 pieces, but they re all there and possible for repair if you know what you are doing.
Again-this is AN ORIGINAL-It has not been swapped-out or replaced.
Hard to find these in any condition.
AGAIN-VERY CRITICAL HERE!
The Book:
G+
The cover is wonderfully shiny and would display well.
The pages don't appear to be loose, but looks as if they may have been stuck back in-but quite well.
When held up, non of the pages fall out.
On some of the pages are some small fragments of writing. On the inside of the front cover is "Went to see Let It Be 5/8/70"
Fantastic ;)
There are just a few other written comments throughout the pages.
Remains a good solid example and very displayable.
OVERALL:
An ORIGINAL, COMPLETE & rare boxset from THE BEATLES.
Certainly one for the serious collector...NOT MINT, but far from trashed. A very good filler at the least.
SOUNDS GREAT TOO
