Love Me Do / PS I Love You
October 1962 UK 45-R 4949
50 years old and in breath-taking condition. Original 1962 first pressing (for stamper details see below). The red labels feature the misaligned 'Lennon - McCartney' credit for Love Me Do and do not include the "MIGB" statement on either side. There is a PT Tax Code embossed round the centre of the the B-side label.
Always stored in a poly-lined sleeve plus I will supply a contemporary 'beach-stripe' with it. I have added photographs but they simply don't do this justice.
Stampers are:
A-side: PZT 1 GD
B-side: PZT 1 GM
Condition:
Simply, this is in superb condition. Just a couple of spindle traces to the A-side, a little more in evidence on the B-side.
Sharp silver print and clean, unfaded red background. No handwriting or other marks.
The labels are stunning; but for spindle marks would be in near mint condition.
Vinyl surfaces confirm very few plays and they have lost none of their original shine; there are a couple of tiny pressing flaws visible and very faint sleeve-rubs on close examination but nothing more. Lies perfectly flat on the turntable. Playback is superb; full, clear sound (with no jumping or sticking), nothing to detract just just the faintest of light crackle discernable on quieter parts.
