Beatles compilation entitled "Rarities" was issued in 1978 by Capitol Records, #SPRO 8969, containing 17 tracks. Compiled in L.A. by Capitol, this is limited to 3000 copies; because there are two mistakes in the compilation. "She Loves You" + "I Want To Hold Your Hand" were to have been the German versions due to the significance of Hamburg venues in their career. The English renditions are not part of what makes this a "rarities" idea; but the fact that it contains these "mistakes" in compilation, does make it a much-sought album. Only 3,000 copies were pressed. The other aspect is that this album also includes the first American release of the original version of "Across The Universe". Conservatively speaking, the vinyl appears to be in excellent condition; and I recommend a cleaning before placing needle onto wax. Album is inside its original Capitol sleeve (also rare), and is in excellent shape with slight crinkling, and fine splits at the bottom and sides from the record edge, and light ring wear. This is now housed in a MFSL sleeve outside it's own light sleeve. This huge poster looks essentially new and was with the album, so they shall stay together. This looks like the head shots from the White Album, but its pretty big - the chair is used as a reference in terms of how big this is. It appears entirely as if unused. I've never seen another. I'm told it was with the rare Capitol BC 13 box set, anyone who knows more can let me know. The Capitol logo is on the bottom left (George got the honors)
