BEATLES UK - Sgt Pepper's, unusual mis pressed Irish one EMI box label, Stereo LP.

An unusual Irish issue in original condition, featuring:

a. I believe this unusual copy of this LP is from Ireland,

b. on side one, track seven on the record label the word ‘benefit’ for the song title ‘Being for the benefit of Mr Kite’ has been mis spelt as it appears as ‘BENEEIT’ !, this word is spelt correctly on the sleeve,

c. the record labels have an unusual text layout, as no margins have been used to align the text and there is an unfamiliar font used for the text, this is not a regular font that EMI would normally have used,

d. the records mother / stampers do not match with a regular EMI issue, as there are no ‘stampers’ engraved onto the ‘run off’ grooves.

e. the sleeve has the text ‘Patents Pending’ printed to the rear, bottom edge, this was printed in error as this sleeve generally did not have this text !.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. The spine is in very good+ condition, it has remained white in colour and most of the text can be read. The original exposed two top flipbacks can be seen when the sleeve is opened. There are NO stains, tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue. There are some ‘indentations’ and some ‘scuffs’ to the sleeve. 

THE INSERT: the green cardboard ‘cut-out’ is present and is in very good++ condition, with NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on it.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original plain white ‘Patent No 1,125,555’ sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE VINYL: is in very good condition. The vinyl is made of the period ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl.

The matrix are:  YEX  637 - 1  and  YEX  638 - 1,

The mother / stampers are: unusually ‘ 2 6 ’ (the mothers) with NO ‘stampers’ and just ‘ 1 ’ (the mothers) again with NO ‘stampers’.

THE AUDIO: is very good, it plays with some crackle and some pops and light ‘ticks’ to be heard here and there. It plays with a good full stereo sound.  The ‘secret’ piece of ‘verse’ is  heard at the very end of side two. The record lays flat on the turntable. 

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
