Description

Sgt. Pepper on the UK Parlophone label from 1969. Matrix -1/-1. Stampers 2-RDG/4-CTL. The record comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse 'Patents Pending' cover with the flipbacks exposed - the last version where you can actually see them. Also included is the original sepia advertising inner sleeve. And for the record [pardon the pun] this is the best rendition of SPLHCB I've ever heard....which is no mean feat.
Vinyl (Ex+) This LP has seen very very minimal use and is shiny like new. Under close inspection there are a number of light marks - these are very very feint paper removal marks nothing remotely feelable or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. The audio playback is absolutely top notch with barely a hint of background interference. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with amazing clarity, bags of detail, and perfect tonal balance. I really don't ever recall hearing this level of clarity and resolution - astonishing. 
Cover (Ex+) Again, in remarkably well preserved condition...it just looks like it has been archived for 45 years! The front and rear are shiny like a mirror with a slight dink to the bottom left corner. There's practically no edge wear to speak of and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover has excellent rigidity which totally belies its age. Don't think there are many left like this>>>>>>!!


Inner Sleeve (Ex-) Very light ageing around the opening. No splits.
