BEATLES UK – White Album LP, UK numbered 3rd issue sleeve, with crossover labels.

PCS 7067/7068 - Apple record labels.

An original UK third issue, numbered sleeve, circa 1972, featuring:

1. by mid 1969 the UK Beatles White Album sleeve had become a ‘side opening’ sleeve. By 1970 the sleeve now came with a ‘six’ digit number printed on the front,

2. the record label on side one has been mis pressed as it look as if too much ink was used when printing the text, as the text, ‘PCS 7067’ and ‘Yex’ appears ‘smudged !, see photo. This mis pressed label got past EMIs quality control and made it out into the shops !,

3. the record labels feature crossover labels, as labels one and two feature the regular ‘Sans Serif’ font, but label three and four, have a ‘wider’, ‘Sans Serif’ font,

4. the record labels on sides one and three have a lighter green colour and all four labels have a ‘matt’, finish to them,

5. the records come with their original circa 1970, ‘Apple copyright’ inners.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition. The sleeve is fully laminated. This laminate has remained really clean, there are NO thumb nail creases and the laminate is free from any ‘scuffing’ or any ‘indentations’. The spine is in very good condition and has remained an excellent fresh white in colour, there is some wear and tear to the spine, all the text on the spine is clear to read. A UK third issue side opening, double lp sleeve. On the front of the sleeve it has ‘The Beatles’ embossed and a unique SIX digit serial number of: No. ‘277221’. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVES: are the original period white ‘Apple copyright’ inner sleeves. One sleeve is in very good++ condition, it has a slight split to the bottom edge. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue to the sleeve. The other sleeve is in very good+ condition, on one side, to the top opening edge there is what appears to be some ‘tea’ stains. There are NO tears, pen writing, splits, stickers or sticker residue to the sleeve.

THE POSTER: the poster is not present.

THE PHOTOS: the four photos are not present.

THE RECORDS: record one, side one is in excellent++ condition, side two is in near MINT condition, the condition of the record has been judged when viewing the record under normal daylight conditions. Record two, Side three is in MINT condition, the condition of the record has been judged when viewing the record under normal daylight conditions. Side four is in excellent+ condition. The two records are made from the period, thick, heavy vinyl and have remained really clean, dark and glossy.

The matrix are: YEX 709 - 1, YEX 710 - 1, YEX 711 – 1 and YEX 712 - 1.

The mother / stampers are: ‘ 4 L M ’, ‘6 R A A ’ ‘1 R R T’ and ‘4 R D M ’.

THE AUDIO: each side, the audio is excellent++. Each side plays with excellent ‘quiet’ grooves. The records play with an impressive full, loud, powerful period stereo sound. Each record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: sides one and two are in near MINT condition, sides three and four are in MINT condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
