BEATLES YESTERDAY & TODAY PEELED BUTCHER COVER MONO LP!





  DESCRIPTION TOP   You are bidding on the mono version of the Beatles "Yesterday and Today" LP with the "butcher" cover, in poor condition (both vinyl and cover) but still an excellent and essential collectible for the serious Beatles aficianado!

The LP is is the Capitol UK recording, number T-2553 (T-X-2-2553), black label with the rainbow band. Please note that there is no inner sleeve with this LP.

Cover: The replacement cover has been peeled off the "recalled" version, with much of the glue and paper residue retained on the "butcher" version. A remnant of the replacement cover is intact at the top, with Harrison's face and the top of Lennon's head still visible. The cover is yellowed both front and back, with scuffing and wear along the edges. The upper right corner is slightly crumpled, and there is a separation at the spine in the mid-section. The back cover has light spotting and staining, with just the slightest hint of ring wear.

Vinyl: Both sides are in poor condition, with visible scratches and scuffing, and will need cleaning. Side One has a deep scratch that crosses the entire side and extends onto the label (but does not break the surface of the paper). Four scratches cross tracks 3, 4, and 5, and there are numerous minor scratches across the surface. Side Two has scratches that are not as deep as Side One, but appear to be more numerous, and cover every track at some point.

We must be contacted the SAME day the auction closes in order to honor your request. Otherwise, your item will be promptly shipped.

All local pick-ups will be charged local sales tax plus a $5.00 handling fee.
