This is an outstanding copy of this iconic LP.Please read the detailed description carefully because this is a wonderful example and I am providing a very full description to enable you bid with total reassurance. Note; this is a very early copy which omits 'An EMI recording' on all the labels. Later copies have this printed on the label.

The audio quality is superb graded 9.5/10 with no appreciable reduction in the sound quality which is awesome throughout.

The LPs are both close to EX+ condition - side 1 has only a light non-sounding mark across the last two tracks, side 2 has two non-sounding marks, side 3 has one non-sounding mark and side 4 has two. All 4 sides have a handful of whispey sleeve withdrawal marks only visible under bright angled light.

The labels are all EX to EX+ as you can see in the photos. Sides 1 and 3 have the dark green Apple which only appears on early copies. 

The Matrix endings are -1,-1,-1,-1 -the mothers are  1 2, 2 2 and the stampers are RD, GL, P,O.

The top opening cover graded EX has No 0540426 printed and 'The BEATLES' embossed on the front and a small 'stereo' printed on the rear. Its is still quite bright white with no yellowing, The edges are sharp with no edge creasing. There is small tear in the leading opening edge which can be seen in the photo. There is very minor rounding on the corners but this is minimal. The spine is straight (see photo 11) with no creases with very minimal laminate lifting. The opening edges are still sharp (see photo 12).

The fragile black matt die cut inner sleeves are VG+ (small tear at centre) and EX. Please look at the photo. I will send this in other inners to protect the originals.

The poster looks to have hardly been out of the cover and is near MINT. (see photo)

However please note that unless the play quality is specifically mentioned records are graded visually. I aim to describe the visual appearance of all items accurately using the standards below which are based on the UK Record Collector Price Guide. The highest grade I use now is NEAR MINT. Records graded EX+ or EX++ would probably be called 'near mint' or 'mint' by most sellers. Please READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and study photographs to avoid disappointment later. The item will not magically transform into a mint copy. I will refund only on items which do not conform to the description and standards set out here.

GRADING SYSTEM

NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above

EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.

VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.

GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged.

I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.

The rest of world is 11.00 for single LPs and £15.00 for doubles. Rates for multiple copies and singles vary. International signed or Airsure is recommended for high value items. The charge depends on the weight so please enquire if you want this option, Items over £30 in value are recommended to be sent insured. I obtain a certificate of posting from the UK Post Office for all items. If an item is lost in the post I will claim on the buyer's behalf and reimburse when the Post Office pays compensation.
