BIG BO & THE ARROWS
ASCOT SHUFFLE
Big Bo And The Arrows were an R&B house band that played the clubs in Dallas in the early '60s. They were regulars down at the Peacock Lounge and Bo Thomas was also a club owner, so perhaps he owned the Peacock, and and perhaps that's where they met up with Fred Lowery
The band put out many local records, mostly on Bo’s own Gay Shel Records label. All of them are quite scarce, even in the town that produced them in the ‘60s. At the time there were several great R&B bars in Dallas: The Zanzibar, The Pride and Joy, the Ascot Room and the original Blues Palace. This song is named as the Ascot Room and is the “Ascot Shuffle” part 1 & 2.
CONDITION: VG++ some very light marks that don’t affect play.
