This iconic double LP, Blonde on Blonde, is a cornerstone of Bob Dylan’s discography and widely considered one of the greatest albums in rock history. Released in 1966, this pressing features a gatefold sleeve with unique artwork that captures the enigmatic spirit of Dylan during this period. 

Gatefold Variations: The interior gatefold design varies between two editions: 

(1) Scarce Claudia Cardinale Version: This early version includes a photograph of Italian actress Claudia Cardinale, a rare and sought-after detail removed from later pressings. The image, tucked within a collage of photos, adds an air of mystery and collectability to the record.  (2) Dylan Centerfold Version: Later pressings replaced the Claudia Cardinale image with an alternate design featuring Bob Dylan more prominently in the centerfold, simplifying the layout. 

The gatefold also features sepia-toned photos, emphasizing Dylan’s free-spirited persona. 

The tracklist and credits are displayed within the gatefold, accompanied by cryptic and artistic imagery reflecting the album’s layered and poetic themes. 

Vinyl Condition

Our records are graded conservatively and described to give buyers confidence in their quality and are mostly very good (VG) to excellent (EX)* condition.  Please keep the following in mind: 

Sound Quality: Most of the records we are currently offering are over 50 years old and have been played but should provide an enjoyable listening experience. While I do not play-grade them, they are visually inspected to ensure they have no significant scratches or defects that might impact playability. 

Surface Marks: Some records may have minor spider scuffs, light fingerprints, or faint surface imperfections typical of records this age. These marks are cosmetic and should not significantly affect the sound. 

Surface Noise: As with all vinyl, light surface noise is inherent to the format and may be present during quieter passages, but this should not detract from the overall enjoyment.
