'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
1964 UK 1st PRESSING **STEREO** LP
This very rare 1964 1st stereo pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3058
The labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' and 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
Both labels feature the early chubby' font for the song titles.
The rare 'MT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback Garrod & Lofthouse 'mid-sized' stereo cover.
Complete with original poly-lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper numbers: 3/RD & 1/L
Labels: EXCELLENT
Some light spindle wear but no writing and 'honest' centre holes with no black ink applied.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both surfaces are bright, glossy and clean bearing only faint signs of careful handling and play.
Some minor sleeve removal marks and paper hairlines are visible directly under a halogen desk lamp but no heavy marks or scratches.
Very thick heavy vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT MINUS
Bright and clear stereo mix with some light intermittant peak wear on some tracks but overall very little lessening to the sound quality.
All tracks play cleanly without any crackle clicks, pops, jumps or repeats on any track.
Both run-ins and all bands play extremely quietly without any no ticks, hiss or other intereference.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
Clean and strong bearing just light storage and handling wear only.
The front panel displays some minor laminate wrinkle around the edges and a few small 'thumbnails' but no heavy creases.
The corners display some minor shelf wear and the opening edges have just very light wear but no tears or feathering to either side.
The easily tarnished matt rear panel is clean, bright and white with no age discolouration, stains, marks, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks are intact and undamaged and the seams and spine are all strong and unsplit.
